Hey guys! I am currently a senior here at Penn State majoring in both EBF and Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. I am from Montoursville Pennsylvania right by Williamsport where the Little League World Series is held. I am currently conducting research on a few of the states in the jurisdiction of PJM and am working towards creating a model with a professor and a few other students of the electricity dispatch throughout the U.S. In my spare time I love to read and I am constantly trying to learn new skills. One of my biggest interests is entrepreneurship, one day I hope to obtain financial freedom so I have the free time to pursue the things that matter to me the most. Hey guys! My name is Muhamad Hakimi and I am a junior majoring in PNG E and minoring in EBF. I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is quite popular with Petronas Twin Towers. I’ve taken a job in Penn State dining commons because I believe that academic achievement alone is not enough to polish and portray your work ethics. With my strong work ethics, I have been promoted to Student Manager in less than a year. Next summer, I am looking to do an internship with Petronas. Besides that, if I get bored, I usually play frisbee during my free time. I have been a part of the PetroBowl team ever since I was a freshman. Last year, our team managed to secure 3rd place in PetroBowl ATCE 2016 Championship! I am honored to serve as the PetroBowl chair and I believe that team work, dedication and passion are the three key ingredients to succeed in PetroBowl. So if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me!

Greetings to All! I am Daulet Magzymov, 3rd year PhD graduate student majoring in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering at Energy and Mineral Engineering, Pennsylvania State University. I am a Graduate Class Representative at PennState SPE student chapter board of officers.
I have been the President of SPE student chapter at Nazarbayev University for 2013-2014 term. Together with a team we established a chapter and engaged our students in academic/social/industrial activities. Our commitment was recognized by SPE International, our chapter received the “2014 Outstanding Student Chapter” award. I love SPE and I love PennState, so I see the GradClassRep position at the SPE board as a great opportunity to contribute to the development of the institutions and people I care about. I am happy to work in a team of enthusiastic SPE officers to make our students more prepared for industry and show the world “who we are”. We are PennState!
I had industrial training programs with Total in France, and with Schlumberger at Siberian Training Center, Russia. I also have participated business trainings at KPMG and University College London, UK. I was a winner for 2016-2017 Student Merit Award at EME which recognizes talented and dedicated students based on their academic achievement and leadership qualities.
Let’s make the world a better place, by contributing to the surrounding!
Kind regards, Daulet Magzymov
Hello!
My name is Hunter Jageman and I am a senior majoring in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. I was born in Rochester, New York but spent my middle and high school years in Erie, Pennsylvania. The first two years of my college career I attended Penn State Behrend in Erie, PA. Since transferring to Penn State University Park, I became involved with different clubs and organizations such as SPE and Penn State’s EMS Ambassador Program. Hello,
My name is Jonathan Rieco and I am dual major in Petroleum Engineering and Geoscience. I am a rising sophomore, and I am from a medium sized town in North Carolina. This summer I will be interning in Houston Texas with Newfield Oil and Gas. I cannot wait to go to work with them and learn a lot. I enjoy reading about and working on all types of cars.
If you want to talk about cars or SPE, feel free to ask me anything.
Hi there.
I’m Alvin Mukhalu (the ‘h’ is silent by the way) and I’m currently a senior in Petroleum and Natural Gas engineering.I like a good challenge as well as the learning experience that comes with it and that is why I chose to do PNG. I come from a place not too far away: Kampala, Uganda, which is about 7300 miles directly from State College.
When I am not meeting with professors to discuss external applications of class concepts or getting involved with on-campus clubs like SPE, I’m either playing soccer or watching it. I’m a huge Manchester United fan. I also love to travel to different places whenever I have the opportunity to do so, as long as it doesn’t snow too much there. So if you have any questions about SPE and Positive Energy or just to have a chat about anything ranging from my soccer team’s horrid performance in some game or how you’re doing in your classes, don’t hesitate to drop an email or say hi on campus.
