Hey guys!  I am currently a senior here at Penn State majoring in both EBF and Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.  I am from Montoursville Pennsylvania right by Williamsport where the Little League World Series is held.  I am currently conducting research on a few of the states in the jurisdiction of PJM and am working towards creating a model with a professor and a few other students of the electricity dispatch throughout the U.S.  In my spare time I love to read and I am constantly trying to learn new skills.  One of my biggest interests is entrepreneurship, one day I hope to obtain financial freedom so I have the free time to pursue the things that matter to me the most.  If you ever want to talk, have any questions about SPE, or any suggestions of things you would like to see on the website, let me know!

PetroBowl Chair | Muhamad Hakimi

Hey guys! My name is Muhamad Hakimi and I am a junior majoring in PNG E and minoring in EBF. I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is quite popular with Petronas Twin Towers. I’ve taken a job in Penn State dining commons because I believe that academic achievement alone is not enough to polish and portray your work ethics. With my strong work ethics, I have been promoted to Student Manager in less than a year. Next summer, I am looking to do an internship with Petronas. Besides that, if I get bored, I usually play frisbee during my free time. I have been a part of the PetroBowl team ever since I was a freshman. Last year, our team managed to secure 3rd place in PetroBowl ATCE 2016 Championship! I am honored to serve as the PetroBowl chair and I believe that team work, dedication and passion are the three key ingredients to succeed in PetroBowl. So if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email me!

Alvin Mukalu | Projects Coordinator of Positive Energy

Hi there.

I’m Alvin Mukhalu (the ‘h’ is silent by the way) and I’m currently a senior in Petroleum and Natural Gas engineering.I like a good challenge as well as the learning experience that comes with it and that is why I chose to do PNG. I come from a place not too far away: Kampala, Uganda, which is about 7300 miles directly from State College.

When I am not meeting with professors to discuss external applications of class concepts or getting involved with on-campus clubs like SPE, I’m either playing soccer or watching it. I’m a huge Manchester United fan. I also love to travel to different places whenever I have the opportunity to do so, as long as it doesn’t snow too much there. So if you have any questions about SPE and Positive Energy or just to have a chat about anything ranging from my soccer team’s horrid performance in some game or how you’re doing in your classes, don’t hesitate to drop an email or say hi on campus.
