Golf Outing

The Executive Board of the Penn State Student Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers would like to cordially invite you to our annual golf outing. As this is one of our biggest events of the year, it is a wonderful way to get involved with our SPE student chapter here at Penn State.

The scramble competition will be held just off campus at Toftrees Golf Resort on Saturday, April 23rd. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM with a shotgun start kicking the golfing off at 10:00 AM. Lunch will be served on the course and after everyone has finished their round of golf, awards will be presented and hors d’oeuvres will be served. To make our event more professional and entertaining for our members and guests, we plan to provide awards for first and second place along with awards for the winners of various special contests throughout the course (longest drive, closest to the pin, etc.).

Golf for the day, lunch on the course, and hors d’oeuvres following the event will be included free of charge. We intend this event to be a relaxing day of golf which will allow industry professionals and our members to network and build industry relationships. We plan on grouping 36 industry professionals with 36 of our members, thus resulting in teams of four.

As stated above, this event is free for any professional whom wishes to join us. However, donations to help fund our event are greatly appreciated. Donations can be for hole sponsorship or prize sponsorship for one of our winning teams or individuals whom may win the special contests.

If you are interested in joining us on April 23rd or donating to our event, please contact SPE Penn State President, Derrick Shields, at . Thank you for supporting the Penn State Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and we look forward to seeing you on April 23rd.

Respectfully,

SPE Penn State Exec Board
